Welcome to the Administrative Review Panel online training! We’re grateful that you are lending your time, attention, and compassion to serve children and families in Wisconsin by participating on a panel.
You, as an Administrative Review Panel member, can propel child welfare practice and help children return home, and when that is not safely possible, to find a forever family. This training will help put the pieces together so you can fulfill this role.
We will show how Administrative Review Panel members are critical in maintaining momentum and urgency in the case process that leads to timely permanence for children in our state.
Through this training we will:
- Provide an overview of Child Protective Services to lay a foundation for the Administrative Review Panel’s purpose and role in the child welfare process.
- Define permanency values, practices, and consequences to help you understand your role in assuring children achieve permanency.
- Discuss panel responsibilities so you can fulfill your role as a court-appointed independent reviewer and advocate for children and families.
