Wisconsin Child Welfare Professional Development System

Training Locations

The Wisconsin Child Welfare Professional Development System (WCWPDS) has three permanent Training Centers around the state – one each in Appleton, Madison and Milwaukee. These sites were specifically designed to meet the instructional needs of adult learners. These sites also serve as office space for WCWPDS staff.

In addition to classroom space, each Training Center has a variety of instructional media and technologies to enhance the learning experience as well as kitchen space, with microwaves and full-size refrigerator, accessible for trainee use.

For the professional development opportunities that are provided in various other locations around the state, we contract with hotels and other venues for classroom space in order to deliver training and meet statewide needs.
