Karen Villarreal has over 20 years’ experience in the home visiting field, after graduating from Marquette University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Karen has held roles as a home visitor, supervisor and program manager, and managed a program that has used both Healthy Families America and Parents as Teachers evidence-based models. During her time as a program manager her team participated in research initiatives and projects that could help improve outcomes for the families her program served, including many quality improvement and professional development projects over the years. Before joining the team Karen was an ad hoc trainer, and is certified in Lemonade for Life and HFA’s (Healthy Families America) FROG training.
