Heather began working with the training system as the Training Manager for the Intertribal Child Welfare (ICW) Training Partnership in 2005. Her primary focus is on development and coordination of training for tribal child welfare workers. Heather also developed and trains the Foundation curriculum “Case Practice with American Indian Tribes” for county child welfare workers. Prior to working for the ICW Training Partnership, Heather worked in child protection in both the county and tribal systems. Heather obtained her B.S. from the University of Wisconsin—Eau Claire, and was a recipient of a Bush Leadership Fellowship in 2007 which allowed her to go on and receive her MSW from the University of Minnesota—Duluth.
