Megan Baltz, MSW, APSW is the Out of Home Care Training Coordinator for the Wisconsin Child Welfare Professional Development System at the UW Madison School of Social Work.  Megan currently develops and trains curricula in permanency and relative engagement topics.  Her goal in training is to enhance child welfare workers’ practice that expedites permanency for children in out-of-home care.  This passion comes from a broad perspective of foster care practice.  Prior to working with caseworker training, she worked as the Foster Parent Training Manger in the southern region.  Before earning her Masters of Social Work from UW- Madison, she was a caseworker in a mid-sized county responsible for several child welfare functions but most importantly as the Foster Care and Independent Living Coordinator.
