Training registrations are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. We encourage you to register as soon as possible as courses typically fill to capacity. All training registrations must be made in advance. Walk-ins may not be accommodated. You are highly encouraged to register for training courses using the automated registration feature of our PDS Online System. If you have questions about which courses you are required to take, consult your supervisor, licensing worker/foster care coordinator, or the identified training personnel within your agency.

Child Welfare Staff: Training is considered to be a part of the work day. All matters involving case or supervisory coverage must be approved prior to the work day. Participants should dress in their normal work attire.

Cancellations

We advise caution when cancelling a course, as we cannot guarantee that it will be offered again or within the timeframe in which you must complete it.

Accommodations

If you have a disability covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and would like to request an accommodation in training or testing, please notify one of our administrative staff members who would be happy to assist you in this process.

Continuing Education Hours (CEHs)

WCWPDS – Milwaukee issues Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) for participation in all training courses. In order to receive credits for a course, participants must sign in at the beginning of each day and sign out at the end of each day to provide proof of attendance. Participants who miss more than 15 minutes or more of any training class will not be granted CEHs for the entire course and will be asked to leave.

Transcripts
Participants may access their transcripts by using PDS Online or by contacting one of our administrative staff members.
