Objectives/Goals
The goal of the 2026 Safety Collaboration is to build confidence in in-home planning and strengthen decision-making skills of Child Welfare (CW) supervisors and staff. This will be accomplished through a shared learning model including supervisor and staff sessions. The learning experience will be guided by WCWPDS trainers and DCF staff, while relying heavily on participation from attendees as the main source of content expertise and lean into one another’s experiences to build confidence and strengthen practice. This opportunity will allow for open discussion on current practice and experiences working with families.
Expectations
A shared learning experience works best when everyone arrives ready to be fully present, engaged, and open to the moment. With no pre‑work or post‑work required, the expectation is simply that participants bring their perspectives, listen actively, and contribute to a space where we learn from one another.
