Wisconsin Child Welfare Professional Development System

Permanency Roundtables (PRT) Values and Tools

Welcome to the Permanency Roundtables Values and Tools online training. This training will prepare caseworkers, supervisors and other child welfare partners on how to participate in a Permanency Roundtable. The Permanency Roundtable process, or PRT, is a professional consultation that provides a forum for innovative thinking among team members to create action steps that help a child achieve permanence.

During the brainstorming and action step phases of the PRT, many resources and tools are explored. The second part of this training series, entitled Permanency Tools will introduce you to permanency resources that fulfill the goal of the PRT process – expedite permanence for children in-out-home care. You will also learn how these tools are used to partner with children to learn about their families, important people in their lives, and explore permanency options.

This two part training will prepare you for participating in your first PRT.
