Wisconsin Child Welfare Professional Development System

Isabelle-Zahn

Hello! I am Isabelle Zahn, but you can call me Izzy. I am going to be one of your ALC facilitators for the 2021 Access ALC! I am currently a Master of Social Work Student in the Title IV-E program with focus in child welfare at UW-Madison.

I have been interning with WCWPDS under Serena Peloza since September 2020. I received my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in psychology in December 2019 from UW-Platteville.

In my time at UW-Platteville I interned with Rock County CPS in initial assessment as well as was an advocate for restorative justice practices in communities and the prison system. These experiences drove my passion for child welfare and advocacy which led me to pursue social work.

While interning with WCWPDS I have assisted in the content creation of the Access ALC by conducting literature reviews, meeting with invested stakeholders, and listening to the workforce. I know this ALC has been a long time coming, and I am excited to assist all of you in learning more about engaging and interviewing reporters.
